Put yourself into a quiet and peaceful setting where you can comfortably let go of all your concerns and worries for a bit.
Ambience suggestions include dimming the lights, putting on some sensitive music, lighting a candle … or heading out into nature. Whatever works for you personally, but the goal is: relax.
Once situated, let the stream of thoughts running through your mind gradually calm. Become more aware of your breath. Notice a gentle and momentary pause between the inhalation and exhalation. See if you notice some silence between the thoughts that rise and fall in your mind.
Now in this state, close your eyes and ask yourself “What am I meant to do?” Gently repeat this question to yourself. Notice the answers, but let them go. Try not to hold onto anything, but just breathe and consider this question. Once you have some answers that you relate to ask yourself how these endeavors will be of service to others. “How can I help?” If you believe in a higher power or order of existence, consider asking, “What do you want me to do?” “How can I fulfill the highest Will?”
You may want to keep a blank journal or note paper handy and jot down ideas as they come to you. I promise you that if you sincerely and openly spend time engaged in this simple practice you will connect with the ideas that will serve as the seed for your new business.
